Mark Maverick Biography

Mark Maverick's quest to be an entertainer began many years ago.

Born in England in 1969, Mark found himself intrigued about the mystery and magic of hypnosis and wanted to learn more about this fantastic realm. At the age of 19, he journeyed to London where he honed his craft at a leading hypnosis institute.

While training in London, Mark began working behind the scenes in the stage production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's "Starlight Express" in London's theater district. The magnificent theatrical flair appealed to Mark's sense of wonder, and he began to consider whether there might be some way to combine his love of hypnosis with the dramatic elegance of a stage show.

After London, Mark began to perform as a stage hypnotist in England, developing his craft.

In 1993, Mark Maverick left England to pursue his dream in America, the land of opportunity. He began producing smaller-scale hypnosis shows throughout the nation, experimenting with new techniques. His unique approach to hypnosis brought him instant success in the field, as well as his first taste of media attention.

In 1995, Mark produced a touring show, The Mysteries of the Mind.

This large-scale musical hypnosis show won the hearts of audiences and critics alike, and was performed for theme parks, performing arts centers, and Fortune 500 companies.

A turning point in Mark Maverick's career, The Mysteries of the Mind was the first conjunction of hypnosis, musical theater, and stage illusions.

After the tour, Mark moved to Las Vegas and took a job behind the scenes at David Cassidy's "EFX", a multi-million dollar production planted in the main showroom of the MGM Grand Casino. Catching a glimpse of the show from the wings of the theater, watching the audience and show from this unique perspective, Mark's vision of a Las Vegas-style production began to flourish.

In 1999, Mark hired composer Richard Chapin to write original music. The relationship between Chapin and Mark sparked immediately, and continues to grow.

In 2004,  Chapin and Mark created a complete concept album of music and narrative, simply called Hypnotica - a stylish mix of historical drama and dynamic, invigorating music.

Today, Mark has performed nearly 1000 shows.  A charismatic and engaging performer, Mark continues to bring his love of the art of hypnosis and his passion to share its wonders into everything he does.

Since 1995, Mark has created hundreds of shows for all sizes of venues, customizing the show for each event.
